4075 Poplar Plain Box Newel posts are designed to work as a starting, landing or intermediate newel and pairs well with the 4091, 4092 and 4375 box newel posts. Hardwood wall is 3/4" with themain shank is 3-1/2 inches; 58 inches tall. Custom sizes are available on a per job quote. Poplar is the best choice for a paint grade newel with its tight grain and economical cost. It can also be stained dark to match walnut, mahogany and Brazilian cherry hardwoods.The 4075 Plain Box Newels are made with lock mitered corners, which means they have no end grains, developing elegance. Also available fluted or in solid glue lams.Half-sawn newels are available with an 8 to 10 business day lead time to ship.
